Water, Water, Everywhere and Not a Drop to Spare!

That’s the way that it seems here in Colorado – especially here at Acres of Ireland where, for the past couple of years, we’ve been going through some rigorous activities getting caught up and back on track with respects to making sure we are in compliance with the W4447 water court case which dictates our responsibilities for replenishing the water that we use on a day-to-day basis. The purpose of this website is to keep the well owners, property owners, home owners and residents of the Acres of Ireland subdivision of Howard Colorado informed of important issues regarding water use. A good majority is / will be accessible only to member’s of the Acres of Ireland sub-division with additional information accessible only to those whom are in good standing. Feel free to click here “AOIWO Operating Agreement” or on the menu to the left to get additional details regarding membership and accessibility. Over the course of the next month or so I’ll be implementing improved functionality such as Facebook connections, community forums, calendar of events and so on.
This is our new & improved website and I’m still in the process of migrating the information and data from the old site over to this new one. Once completed and with the exception of a few general information pages, this will become a semi-private, membership only website, open only to those member’s it represents. Until the information migration can be completed – which should be around the end of march……….. You can always visit the old site by clicking the blue button immediately below. Thanks for your patience….. Tom

Update 03/29/12 – Addressing Operation Agreement & Balloting Concerns

Update 03/05/12

On Wednesday, February 29th, the Board of Directors met with the following subjects being discussed…

Board of Directors Elections - BALLOT DEADLINE - 3/24

Letters and ballots are going out as we “speak” with information regarding the elections for the board of directors. Current board members have been working hard for the last 2 years and believe it or not, they all are running for reelection. They either like their community or they’re just plumb loco. In either case, ballots are being mailed for you to return no later than March 24th.

IF you’d prefer to run for office or want to support someone else who does, there will be spaces on the ballot to write in your choices.

This Year's Dues

You may have noticed that we did not assess an annual fee in 2011. We were able to accomplish most of the work to date without additional funding. However, 2012 brings new costs and expenses exceeding our current funds. The lot line adjustment necessary for transfer of title to the pond, the associated survey charges, liability insurance premiums, administrative expenses and other costs are approaching fast.

We will continue to work hard to keep expenses low, while maximizing the return on investment to our members. For the 2012 calendar year, the AOIWO, LLC Board of Directors has decided that a $100.00 fee is appropriate. The Board asks each of you to submit your payment along with your mail-in ballot, to ensure your eligibility to vote in the Board of Directors election and to vote on other matters during the com we’ve incurred to date.

Upcoming Meeting

The Board of Directors are in the process of pulling together final information with the intent of organizing another full membership meeting. While the date has yet to be determined, it shouldn’t be too far off.

It is our intent, at the next meeting, to finally have sufficient information and facts available to present the membership with the viable and available options for W4447 resolution which will subsequently be voted upon by the membership for final approval and enactment.
Keep you posted!

Operating Agreement Finalized

While dealing with the W4447 “issue” has been on the forefront of the Board’s task list, on the back burner has been the finalization of the Operating Agreement. This agreement clearly sets the duties, boundaries and the responsibilities of the Board of Directors. You can click the link in the menu to the left to download a copy for your review.
